Negotiate and structure your agreements, and make them hold.

Help senior management and business teams strengthen their key agreements, clarify responsibilities and turn their decisions into action.

I work with licensors, rights holders, licensees and retailers dealing with sensitive negotiations, relationships that need rebalancing or unclear ways of working.

I bring strategic rigor, solid contracts and practical delivery.

Two areas, one framework

For your decisions to hold over time, the agreements have to be well prepared, easy to apply and built to last.

01 – prepare / secure

Partnerships

Prepare and lead decisive negotiations, in France and internationally.

Preparation

  • Analyze stakes, constraints and room to maneuver
  • Identify value levers and weak points
  • Prepare negotiation scenarios and positions to defend
  • Prioritize economic and legal factors

Negotiation

  • Support the discussions: briefs, sign-offs and adjustments
  • Coordinate commercial, legal and financial stakeholders
  • Align head office, subsidiaries and international partners
  • Handle sensitive clauses, through to signature

An Acquisition to Rebalance

Carried out in my role as Director of Licensing. Retail sector, international scope.

Context

During the acquisition of a company that held the rights to an iconic sports brand, several factors weakened the balance of the deal: partial retention of the teams, a multi-category contract, overvalued financial terms. A major gap between the obligations on paper and the real ability to deliver on them.

Actions

I led the full renegotiation with the licensor: revised minimum guarantees, a longer contract term, stronger marketing commitments from the partner.

Result

A rebalanced contract, aligned with the real operating conditions, and a partnership kept intact over time.

02 - orchestrate / make reliable

Governance

Turn contract terms into monitoring tools, clear roles and effective ways of working.

In Practice

  • Define or reshape a licensing policy
  • Review the portfolio and rank priorities
  • Translate key clauses into working tools
  • Clarify roles, interactions and standards across functions, partners and countries
  • Help teams on the ground adopt clearer ways of working

A Portfolio to Refocus

Carried out in my role as Director of Licensing. Multi-brand portfolio, international environment.

Context

A portfolio of around 30 licensed brands, uneven and out of step with the market. The teams had no clear view of their own contract obligations across sourcing, products, marketing and finance. Growing internal tensions.

Actions

I ran a full audit of the portfolio, clarified responsibilities by function, translated the contracts into tools the teams could share and set up simpler ways to coordinate across departments.

Result

Portfolio refocused, faster decisions, improved performance.

Annual profitability up 18%.

Added Value

I step in when the stakes are high, multiple positions are in play and the rollout is still fragile.

Whats Sets Me Apart

  • A senior point of contact, involved at every stage, with no handoff
  • The ability to connect negotiation, contract design and the reality on the ground
  • A third party who brings structure and opens up options where positions are entrenched
  • International experience: EMEA, NORAM, LATAM, APAC

A Dual Perspective

I bring together strategic vision and operating logic: value creation, stakeholder expectations, operational requirements.

This dual perspective lets me build arrangements that are balanced, workable and stable over time.
